Urban Revitalization Tax Abatement for Homeowners

The City of Oelwein has an Urban Revitalization Plan for residential revitalizations.  It is possible improvements you made to your property this last year may qualify for property tax abatement as listed on the enclosed application.

Please fill out the application and return it to City Hall before the end of January 2024 for review and possible approval of property tax abatement. Email the application to city@cityofoelwein.org prior to the deadline.
